Alyssa’s Pick of the Week: Drive

If you haven’t seen this explosive, yet sophisticated action/suspense film yet, now is a great opportunity to drive like Ryan Gosling does in the movie to the nearest rental store. Gosling is amazing playing a manic driving stuntman who moonlights as a wheelman for various inner city crimes. Never mind his Academy Award snub, you can be the judge for yourself of how worthy his performance truly is; alongside the equally fantastic Albert Brooks as the ruthless, conniving bad guy. The movie packs a unique punch with stunningly choreographed action sequences and a cute love story involving Carey Mulligan and her on-screen son. And that soundtrack is nothing short of amazing.
