World renown Asian-American music pioneers Far East Movement continue to bridge the gap between East and West with their new song “Nice Things” featuring multi-talented Kpop star, singer and actor Henry Lau (formerly of the prominent South Korean boy band Super Junior-M) and British electopop duo AlunaGeorge. With its effortlessly sweet and soulful melodies, “Nice Things” actually delves into the messy and heartbreaking parts of being in love.
“Love is polarizing and love is sacrifice,” explains Prohgress of Far East Movement. “And love is the best when it drives you crazy. This song is one of those movies.”
The track is available via Far East Movement’s label Transparent Arts who have partnered with China’s largest music streaming service NetEase to produce songs that blend artists from different cultures and languages while expanding audiences.
Kev Nish of Far East Movement explains, “We like to mix up our sound with artists from different genres. With our Identity album, our single “Freal Luv” with Marshmello, Chanyeol and Tinashe gave us the first real chance to try a culturally global collaboration. That experience was really fulfilling for us. Growing up both Asian and American, blending these styles matched with our identity as artists from both cultures.”
