Multi-instrumentalist and producer Lophiile unveils a new single. “Common Sense” features Vic Mensa and completes a trilogy of electronic-tinged hip-hop songs from the producer that includes the previously-released “Off Top” feat. Freddie Gibbs and “Newno” feat. Moss Kena & Nick Grant. The new song wraps up a successful summer for Lophiile, who performed at a number of festivals including Made in America, Governor’s Ball and Bumbershoot.

The new single is the producer’s first solo release since the band, Radiant Children, comprised of Lophiile, Fabienne and Marco, released their debut EP TRYIN’ last month. The project incorporates Lophiile’s broad view of music, breathing new life into old school rhythms, creating their own unique blend of soul, funk, jazz and R&B. Two songs off the EP, “Life’s A Bitch” and “Go Left”, were recently featured on HBO’s hit-comedy Insecure.

Listen to “Common Sense” featuring Vic Mensa and stay tuned for more from Lophiile coming soon.
