Paramount Pushed Up ‘Transformers’ Release Date

Deadline is currently reporting that Paramount Pictures have pushed up the release date for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The original release date was scheduled for Friday, July 1st, but now it will hit theaters Wednesday, June 29th.

Paramount also did this for the first Transformers as well as Revenge of the Fallen. It could be a ploy to simply have a few extra days to earn money, but it actually is a smart move. Cars 2 opens up one week before on June 24th, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 follows two weeks later on July 15th.
