Some new casting is in the works for the latest Three Stooges film. In January, there were reports that Peter and John Farrelly were looking at such heavy hitters like Johnny Knoxville, Andy Samberg, and Shane Jacobson. And the latest, is that Justin Timberlake is also being considered for the cast.
Can you picture Timberlake as Larry? According to The Boston Herald, Timberlake may be starring alongside Knoxville. It’s also a possibility that Will Sasso could play Curly. However, they’re also looking at Woody Harrelson and Larry David for Larry, Hank Azaria for Moe and an unknown for Curly.
Bobby Farrelly tells the Herald, “We haven’t cast it yet. We haven’t picked anyone. It’s a little tricky, right? Because they all have to be about the same age, and even around the same height. We’re waiting for that first person that we’re going to say, ‘This is going to be our Moe, Larry or Curly’ and we’ll build around that. But it’s going to happen soon. It will be within three weeks.”
The film is set to begin filming in Georgia this coming April, so they better get their casting set. Who do you think would make the perfect Stooges?
