The game is far from over for singer/songwriter, Matt McAndrew, who you surely remember from Season 7 of The Voice, when his single “Wasted Love” dominated the charts and captured the hearts of fans across the globe. Now, Matt is back with his latest single, “Game Over,” a highly infectious, three-minute ode to his girlfriend.
“It’s about going out with some friends for drinks, and falling in love,” shares Matt. “I guess I could get more flowery, but that’s really what it’s about…meeting my incredible girlfriend in L.A.”
Matt wrote the song with Joshua Bartholomew, Lisa Harrington, and Brooke Cervenka.
Matt was born and raised in New Jersey, but in 2014, he burst onto the music scene in Philadelphia, after graduating from University of the Arts and releasing his debut album, View of the Pines in 2014. Soon after, he was embraced by the nation when he became a favorite on Season 7 of The Voice.
Under the mentorship of coach Adam Levine, Matt took the runner-up spot, while his single “Wasted Love,” cracked the Billboard Top 20 and reached number one on the iTunes Charts. In 2016, Matt released his second EP, Rush in Slowly.
