Skrillex and Wale Collaboration Dropping Soon
A few days ago MMG hip-hop artist, Wale, announced on Twitter that he was working on a song with dubstep legend, Skrillex. Although only a radio rip version of the song titled, “Lets Get Down”, has been released, debate about the song has already begun. With electronic and dubstep music becoming more and more popular we have started to see many rap artists teaming up with these famous DJs. Diplo has worked with Usher, Big Sean, and Wale while Rusko released an entire EP with Cypress Hill. “Lets Get Down” sounds like a typical Skrillex track and surprisingly Wale’s flow meshes fairly well with Skrillex’s heavy drops and cuts. It’s exciting to see this musical transition that is occurring between hip-hop and dubstep, although some hate that it’s happening. However, I think that its always great to hear talented artists working together no matter what genres their music is labeled under. Take a listen to the radio rip version of “Lets Get Down” and be on the lookout for when the song releases.
