Ken Akamatsu’s Negima! Magister Negi Magi Volume 17 follows the final clash between Chao and Negi. 

Chao has plans for world domination which include revealing Magic to the entire world.  The only one who can stop Chao is a ten year old high school teacher and magician, Negi Springfield.  The Martian warrior and super genius, Chao, has magic on her side, while Negi has his brains and the technology of the future on his.  Volume 17 describes the huge battle and therefore is very action packed and does not delve more into the over fifteen characters Negima includes.  

Negima is a constantly evolving series that at times can become very complicated due to the large number of characters, but for the most part is easy and enjoyable to follow.  While the target audience seems to be teenage boys, anyone can pick up these books and quickly get into the volumes. I recommend starting with volume one, it will save you a massive headache.  Also one note on the actual drawings themselves; the comics are well drawn and really depict the action scenes well; however majority of the women could use a few more clothes. But then again, it is geared more towards teenage boys!
