Florida Rapper Burga released his 2nd installment of “Permanent Scars” the Deluxe Edition today. The 1st edition featured fellow southern cohorts such as Boosie Badazz, Yung Bleu, Derez De’shon, Koly P, Lil Baby’s artist Rylo. The new deluxe edition includes the street approved snapping hit single “Brand New Drip” featuring MoneyBagg Yo.
Since its release during the pandemic “Brand New Drip” has steadily become a fan favorite reaching 1 million views in 1 month. Fast forward 3 million views later, more music fans are noticing the Florida star and his body of work on YouTube page Burga321TV. Now in 2021 the track has taken on a life of its own growing to over 4.1 Million views on YouTube. With the success of “Brand New Drip” and the pandemic putting things on hold, Burga decided to release a deluxe 2.0 addition of Permanent Scars. The 2.0 features new tracks along with new collaborations, to hold fans over until he hits the road this fall with Young Blue first and then Money Bagg Yo. Besides “Brand New Drip” so far Burga has released singles “Expired” with Rolling Out, “Born For This” with Ground Sounds, “Wrong People” with VENTS Magazine and the music video for “Can You Tell Me” with Hollywood Life.
When asked about the reason for creating a deluxe edition of his project Permanent Scars, Burga said, “The decision came after the pandemic when we weren’t able to tour and promote the project.” Now, armed with the deluxe version and more songs on the way, Burga is geared to reach fans in person, while still having their ear with his music. “My mission right now is to help as many people as I can through my music,” he says. “I’m here to talk about real shit, but also teach you how to get through it.” And that is just what Burga has done as his single “Brand New Drip,” which has quickly gained radio play across the country resulting in it being the 6th most added single at radio in just its first week. With Dallas Texas K104’s DJ Hollywood Bay Bay saying, “Burga is special, the world will see his music touches people!. It will not be long before everyone is singing ‘I got some brand new drip”.
He spent all of 2019 in the studio recording new music daily. By 2020, just as the pandemic started, he released Permanent Scars, a work that showed even greater promise than ever before, with collaborations including one with the legendary Boosie Badazz. The pandemic thwarted all plans to tour, though it forced Burga to “be creative,” as he puts it. At the close of the year, “Brand New Drip” arrived with MoneyBagg Yo, crystallizing Burga’s fate as he approaches rap stardom. Stay tuned to Burga’s socials on future tour dates as well as music videos from the deluxe edition of Permanent Scars.
