Following the recent announcement of his new album, Do it for Demon, Atlanta rapper SahBabii shares the project’s second single, “Switch.” The new track follows the lead single and accompanying video “Bread Head,” released last month. The album is set to release in October, and comprises the artist’s most focused effort to date as it pays tribute to the rapper’s late friend, Demon.

“Switch” has an upbeat tribal chant that evokes memories for SahBabii of the high energy that his lifelong best friend and right hand man (named “Demon”) had before he lost his life in late 2020. “Switch” is the 2nd single from the October album, Do It For Demon, which is a personal and commemorative LP dedicated to SahBabii’s deceased friend. “Switch” peels back another layer of Sah, and his witty bars take you further into his playful lifestyle but also expose painful memories of his past.

SahBabii has cemented himself as one of the most unique and intriguing new voices coming out of Atlanta’s crowded hip-hop landscape after the 2016 release of his project S.A.N.D.A.S. The project featured hits “Pull Up wit ah Stick” (feat. Loso Loaded) and “Marsupial Superstars” (feat. T3) which brought SahBabii’s psychedelic, sing-song flow and outlandish lyrics (“I wanna fuck an amphibian,” he raps on “Marsupial Superstars”) to mainstream attention. Since then, SahBabii has embarked on headlining tours to support his widely praised projects, 2018’s Squidtastic and 2020’s Barnacles.
