IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios have officially released the launch trailer for 007 First Light, the upcoming James Bond action adventure arriving May 27, 2026. The new video highlights Bond’s reimagined origin story, cinematic stealth gameplay, and a globe spanning espionage campaign designed around player freedom.
In 007 First Light, players follow a younger Bond, portrayed by Patrick Gibson, after MI6 recruits him following a dangerous mission in Iceland. Bond receives support from M, played by Priyanga Burford, while facing intense training from former agent John Greenway, portrayed by Lennie James. The story eventually leads Bond into a worldwide hunt involving the rogue 009 and the mysterious villain Bawma, played by Lenny Kravitz.
IO Interactive’s Creative Approach gameplay encourages players to complete missions through stealth, gadgets, or direct combat. Features include Spycraft investigation systems, Bond’s Instinct abilities, advanced Q Branch tools, and fluid gunplay.
The game also introduces Tactical Simulation mode, offering replayable challenges, modifiers, and progression rewards after the main campaign. 007 First Light launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version arriving later during Summer 2026.
Players who pre order the game will receive a free upgrade to the Deluxe Edition, including exclusive outfits, unique in game skins, and twenty four hour early access. Pre orders are available across retailers worldwide.
