Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt), a former Formula One driver from the ’90s, had a terrible crash that ended his F1 career and pushed him into other racing categories. Now, his old friend and F1 team owner (Javier Bardem) reaches out with an intriguing offer: he wants Hayes to come out of retirement to mentor the talented rookie Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris) on the Expensify Apex Grand Prix team (APXGP).
