Renowned for his multifaceted talents as a singer, poet, songwriter, visual artist, film producer, activist, and author, Serj Tankian—lead vocalist and lyricist for the GRAMMY Award-winning rock band System Of A Down—returns with a powerful new single, “Justice Will Shine On.” This intense and passionate hard rock track is now available worldwide on Gibson Records.

Following his recent single “A.F. Day,” Tankian composed “Justice Will Shine On” during the early days of System Of A Down. Despite its origins, the song’s message remains profoundly relevant and impactful today.

Both “A.F. Day” and “Justice Will Shine On” are set to appear on Tankian’s upcoming EP, “Foundations,” which is scheduled for release on September 27 via Gibson Records. The EP delves into potent themes, with Tankian’s new track grappling with the atrocities of the Armenian Genocide—a tragedy personally experienced by his grandparents. In stark, direct lyrics, he conveys their suffering: “Can you tell me dear grandfather of your childhood so far away / You can see the death of laughter in his teared eyes disarray / Can you tell me dear grandmother of your childhood from hunger and pain / Of the orphans you called brothers in her teared eyes disarray.”

As the song builds to its soaring chorus, Tankian asserts that the torment and anguish endured by all victims of the Armenian Genocide will not be forgotten. “We are the children of all the survivors / Justice will shine on!”

Mark your calendars for September 27 and get ready to experience “Foundations,” an EP where Serj Tankian channels raw emotion and historical reflection into his signature hard-hitting rock sound.
