Multi-platinum rapper Kodak Black is back with “Imma Shoot”—a solemn yet subtly catchy single that finds the Pompano Beach star in full documentarian mode, recounting raw street tales with piercing detail. Out now via Vulture Love / Capitol Records, the track showcases Kodak at his grittiest, pairing a pitched-up vocal loop with heavy drums and sweeping orchestration.

Fans had been waiting: Kodak teased “Imma Shoot” across social media, amassing over 2.75 million TikTok playsbefore release. Many are already likening the single to his 2021 smash “Super Gremlin,” which hit No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has since racked up over 325 million YouTube views.

The new drop follows Kodak’s recent string of releases. In July, he linked with DJ E Money and G6reddot on “By Myself,” sampling Fabolous and Ne-Yo’s 2007 classic “Make Me Better”—with Ne-Yo even making a cameo in the video. More recently, Kodak celebrated receiving the key to Pompano Beach with “Keys To The City” and hopped on collaborations with Rich the Kid (“Rain Snow”) and Antonio Brown (“I LUV ALL THE OPPS”).

Kodak’s momentum has been undeniable. At the end of 2024, he dropped three full-length projects in under two months, including the star-studded Gift for the Streets, featuring Lil Yachty, Veeze, Juvenile, BG, and more. Last summer, his label imprint spotlighted emerging voices with Vulture Love Presents: The Last Zombies on Earth.

Beyond music, Kodak remains a fixture in his community—whether giving away thousands of turkeys, covering rents, or donating AC units during Florida heatwaves. With over 25 billion global streams, Kodak continues to balance street storytelling with generosity, cementing his role as both a cultural force and a hometown hero.
