Cosmic-pop duo Moon Radio has officially landed with their mesmerizing debut single, “Lust For The Moon.” The collaboration brings together vocalist Julia Haltigan and vibraphonist/producer Yusuke Yamamoto, blending floating vocals, electric vibraphone, and moody vintage synths into a sound both futuristic and nostalgic.
Their first release, produced by Grammy-winner Torbitt Schwartz (aka Little Shalimar of Run The Jewels), offers a hypnotic slow-burn meditation on longing for the unreachable. With swirling textures and analog warmth, the track feels like a cocktail hour reverie—an invitation to slip into a different time and place.
The accompanying video expands that dreamscape into a surreal fable: a daisy leaving the city in search of the moon. Whimsical and strange, it captures Moon Radio’s world of cinematic escapism and wonder.
Listeners describe their live debut as transcendent—an audience lulled into stillness, breathing together in calm euphoria. This delicate balance of futurism and nostalgia, what the duo calls a “utopian dystopia,” is quickly becoming their signature.
Moon Radio also arrives with rich artistic DNA. Haltigan has released six solo albums, starred in Alonso Ruizpalacios’ film La Cocina alongside Rooney Mara, and was a longtime voice in the immersive hit Sleep No More. Yamamoto, meanwhile, has released multiple records as Channel U and Golden Monkey’s, and composed for Gran Turismo on PlayStation.
With more singles, videos, and live shows on the horizon, Moon Radio is building toward a full-length album in early 2026—a voyage listeners won’t want to miss.
