Nashville-based songwriter Pramuk Mohanlal-Vargas, known simply as Pramuk, is making waves in the city’s songwriter circles with his heartfelt blend of indie-folk and alternative rock. On May 29, he released his second EP, A Blossoming Out of Black and White, showcasing his growth as both a performer and producer.
Pramuk’s music is rooted in raw acoustic energy, emotional honesty, and a desire to create something uniquely his own. Drawing influence from artists like Damien Rice, Passenger, and Bon Iver, his songs highlight the power of vulnerability and authentic expression.
A graduate of Belmont University with a Master of Music in Commercial Music Performance, Pramuk also approaches his craft with a scholarly eye—studying the collaboration, production, and individuality that shape his work.
Whether performing at open mics or songwriter rounds around Nashville, Pramuk continues to connect with audiences through genuine storytelling and an ever-evolving sound. His new EP is both a personal milestone and a fresh step forward in his creative journey.
