My Morning Jacket are commemorating two decades of their seminal 2005 album Z with the release of Z 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition. Remastered from the original master tapes by GRAMMY®-winning engineer Emily Lazar (Beck, Jacob Collier), the deluxe set is available digitally, on CD, and as a 3LP collection on pink, coral, and blue vinyl. It includes 14 key outtakes, demos, previously unreleased tracks, and material from singles and film work.

To mark the occasion, the band premiered a new music video for the album’s opener, “Wordless Chorus,” directed by Sam Erickson and streaming now on YouTube. Fans can also revisit the rarely heard “Where To Begin,” written for Cameron Crowe’s Elizabethtown, and the unreleased “The Devil’s Peanut Butter.”

Celebratory Z – 20th Anniversary shows are scheduled across Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Hollywood Palladium, Brooklyn Paramount, The Salt Shed, and Fox Theatre, with tickets on sale now. Jim James reflected, “To celebrate two decades…we’ll play that album – and some other songs, don’t worry – front to back.”

The band will return to the Austin City Limits stage on October 18 for a special hour-long episode, honoring their ACL Hall of Fame induction, with Cameron Crowe presenting.

Named one of Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Albums of All Time,” Z fused rock, dub, reggae, and electronica into a groundbreaking, emotionally resonant record that introduced the band’s current lineup to the world—cementing My Morning Jacket as one of the most inventive forces in modern rock.
