The First Descendant dev team has revealed a major roadmap for early 2026, promising a rebuilt core experience, expanded combat content, and a smoother, more rewarding farming loop. Monthly updates will continue, bringing fresh content, ongoing balance tweaks, and weapon reworks.

During the latest livestream, players got a first look at a redesigned gameplay cycle—from setting goals, to farming, to tackling challenging endgame encounters. Highlights included Breach Tracking, a new rotating gold-farm region designed to cut repetition, and Horde Mode, where four-player squads fend off escalating waves using deployable turrets and buffs.

Creative Director Minseok Joo emphasized that the team is “reorganizing and rebuilding the core experience” based on community feedback, aiming for a more compelling and welcoming game as it enters its next phase.

Episode 3 arrives February 2026 with the long-awaited debut of Dia, alongside improvements such as the Operation Command System, Task Board, Boost Path 2.0, and renewed Hard Mode content.

Looking ahead to Season 4, players will face Karel’s final battle and a massive new Mega Dungeon, plus a completely overhauled weapon system designed for streamlined progression.

Before then, December brings Ultimate Yujin, the new Forbidden Sanctuary dungeon, the poison-based Grim ReaperColossus, balance updates, and new quality-of-life additions like Bunny’s Sprint Accelerator and Ancestors Module trading.
