Martin McDonagh is back with a new dose of dark comedy, unveiling the trailer for his upcoming film Wild Horse Nine. Marking his first feature since the critically acclaimed The Banshees of Inisherin (2023), McDonagh’s latest project promises the same sharp wit and offbeat storytelling that have defined his work.

The film stars Sam Rockwell and John Malkovich as CIA agents sent from Santiago to Easter Island on the brink of the 1973 Chilean coup. Their mission, shrouded in political tension and absurdity, sets the stage for a character-driven story layered with McDonagh’s signature humor. Steve Buscemi joins the cast, alongside Parker Posey and Tom Waits, adding further intrigue.

Rockwell reunites with McDonagh after his Oscar-winning turn in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, raising expectations for another standout performance. If the trailer is any indication, Wild Horse Nine blends historical backdrop with biting comedy, offering a compelling and unpredictable cinematic ride.
