KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, in collaboration with Nixxes Software, has officially launched DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. This standalone sequel expands Sam’s journey with new tools, weapons, and vehicles as he attempts to reconnect Australia to the Chiral network. Battling enemies, braving Timefall, and surviving natural disasters like sandstorms, forest fires, and earthquakes, Sam must once again fight to save humanity.
The Social Strand System returns, connecting players globally, letting your actions influence other players’ worlds—and theirs yours. For the ultimate challenge, the new “to the wilder” mode pushes porters’ skills to the extreme, offering punishing environments and deadly enemies. Completing orders rewards satisfaction and gratitude from fellow porters.
PC players can also explore new fieldware, unlockable bandanas, and a VR training area called “Trapped in a Strange Realm,” reliving Sam’s epic confrontations with Neil. Fans will enjoy appearances from the Chiral Feline and new Photo Mode additions aboard the DHV Magellan.
Thanks to Nixxes Software, the PC edition boasts exclusive enhancements: NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, Intel XeSS, uncapped frame rates, super-ultrawide (32:9) support, full mouse & keyboard custom mapping, and DualSense controller integration with haptics and adaptive triggers. High-end PC setups can enable ray-traced reflections and ambient occlusion for next-level visual fidelity, though this isn’t required for the core experience.
With these features, DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH offers both newcomers and longtime fans a richer, more immersive experience—delivering Kojima’s signature storytelling and gameplay in stunning detail.
