The indie fighting game scene just leveled up with the reveal of Shot One Fighters, a bold roguelite smash-up that blends competitive mechanics with single-player progression. Developed by Red Moon Workshop in collaboration with fighting game icons Justin Wong and JMCrofts, this 2.5D hybrid promises a fresh take on the genre.
In Shot One Fighters, every run lets you build a custom fighter from scratch. Players can choose from over 100 moves, crafting unique combos, counters, and strategies tailored to their playstyle. Each decision matters, as every move you equip is one you actively execute in battle.
The newly released gameplay trailer showcases vibrant characters, explosive combat, and a dynamic system of artifacts that reshape each run. With over 100 artifacts and 60 unique events, no two playthroughs are the same. The game also features a fully voiced, cinematic intergalactic story packed with quirky NPCs and intense boss fights.
Beyond combat, players will rebuild a massive mech hub that evolves as the story unfolds, adding a layer of progression outside the arena.
With its innovative design and strong community backing, Shot One Fighters is shaping up to be a must-watch title. Wishlist it on Steam and keep an eye out for the upcoming Kickstarter campaign.
