Prime Video has unveiled the first teaser trailer for Masterplan, an upcoming French-Italian Prime Original that promises high-stakes action, sharp humour and plenty of family drama.
Leading the cast is Academy Award nominee Stanley Tucci, joined by The White Lotus breakout Simona Tabasco and French star Victor Belmondo. Shot in English, the globe-spanning heist film will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on October 16 in more than 240 countries and territories.
The story follows a legendary thief who recruits two talented strangers for one last impossible mission: stealing the Mona Lisa. There’s just one catch—they’re actually his long-lost children. Chiara, an Italian cybercrime expert, and Jay, a charismatic French explosives specialist, are forced into an unexpected family reunion while attempting the heist of the century. As you might expect, pulling off the job is only half the challenge.
Masterplan is directed by Thomas Vincent (Reacher, Bodyguard, Versailles) and co-written with BAFTA-winning screenwriter David Wolstencroft (Spooks, The Escape Artist). Co-produced by Gaumont and Amazon MGM Studios, the film was shot across stunning locations in France and Italy, setting the stage for what looks to be a stylish, action-packed caper.
With a stellar international cast, a clever premise and the Mona Lisa at the centre of it all, Masterplan is shaping up to be one of Prime Video’s must-watch releases this autumn.
