Prepare for take-off: Battlefield 6 is going full afterburner.
Battlefield Studios and Electronic Arts have unveiled the official gameplay trailer for the game’s upcoming Top Gun collaboration, and it’s bringing some serious aerial firepower to the battlefield.
The August 18 update introduces two new jets—the F-74A Seacat and F/A-81F Super Spectre—alongside the return of Wake Island and two new modes built around Battlefield’s trademark scale: Carrier Strike and Gauntlet: Fighter Sweep.
And yes, the Top Gun stars are joining the action. Players can step into the flight boots of Lt. Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw (Miles Teller), Lt. Robert “Bob” Floyd (Lewis Pullman), and Adm. Solomon “Warlock” Bates (Charles Parnell).
Arriving August 18 as part of Battlefield 6’s biggest seasonal update yet, the collaboration looks ready to mix cinematic dogfights with the franchise’s signature all-out warfare.
Strap in. The sky is officially the next battlefield.
