Slots & Daggers is out now on mobile for Apple and Android, bringing its wonderfully weird blend of slot-machine mechanics and retro fantasy roguelike action to your phone.
Created by indie developer Friedemann (Summerhouse, Islanders) and published by Future Friends Games (CloverPit, The Cabin Factory), the game first landed on Steam late last year—and quickly became a hit, selling more than 300,000 copies and earning a 94% positive rating from over 6,500 reviews.
The hook is simple: your battles play out on a slot machine. Spin the reels and your symbols determine what happens next, from sword strikes and spells to potions and other tricks. Luck matters, but so do quick reflexes, sharp strategy and a well-tuned loadout.
Across ten levels, you’ll face a bizarre lineup of enemies, including Gunslingers of the Red Desert, Knights of Kul, Hammer Goblins and, naturally, a guy named Ike. Win fights to unlock new weapons, abilities, equipment and modifiers, then adapt your build as each run unfolds.
