Adult Swim is getting ready to make nightmares funny.

The Terrors of Jordan Mendoza, a new live-action sketch comedy series from writer, comedian, actor, and filmmaker Jordan Mendoza, premieres Sunday, September 13, at midnight ET/PT.

Created, written, directed, and executive produced by Mendoza, the quarter-hour series follows a very scared man as he stumbles through a surreal parade of absurd, terrifying, and often hilarious dreamscapes. The result blends sharp comedy with horror while digging into fears that are both deeply personal and universally recognizable.

And Mendoza won’t be facing those nightmares alone. The series boasts a stacked guest cast that includes Thomas Lennon, Marc Maron, Fred Melamed, Haley Joel Osment, Randall Park, Wanda Sykes, Eva Victor, and Steve Buscemi, among others.

“There’s nothing more exciting than finding a creator with a voice that feels completely their own,” said Adult Swim’s Cameron Tang. “He’s funny, brutally honest, and impossible to mistake for anyone else.”

The series is the latest project from Mendoza, whose recent credits include Dave, Chad Powers, Overcompensating, Big Mouth, and Ziwe.

As for Mendoza’s reaction to finally getting the show on the air? Let’s just say his official quote is considerably more unfiltered. He joked that he recently dreamed the entire experience of making the series was “like a big prank”—before admitting he cried the next morning.
