If your controller is the weakest link between you and the leaderboard, Razer wants to fix that.

Razer has unveiled its new Wolverine V4 controller line, built specifically for competitive Xbox and PC gamers. The lineup includes the wireless Wolverine V4 Pro and wired Wolverine V4 Tournament Edition, with both designed around one basic idea: faster, more precise control.

The headline feature is a new pair of capacitive thumbstick sensors designed to deliver drift-resistant performance with smoother tracking and improved accuracy. On PC, the Wolverine V4 Pro can reach an eye-catching 8,000 Hz polling rate, while Razer claims response times of less than 1 millisecond.

That could make a difference in games where a fraction of a second matters.

Built for the Competitive Crowd

The Wolverine V4 Pro is loaded with customization options. Four magnetic back buttons can be swapped in and out, while two additional claw-grip bumpers give players up to six mappable action buttons.

The idea is simple: keep your thumbs on the sticks while handling actions like reloading, sliding or activating abilities.

Razer’s Pro HyperTriggers can also switch between a short, rapid-fire trigger pull and a traditional full-range analog pull. Players can fine-tune the actuation point between 1.3mm and 8.2mm, making the controller adaptable to everything from FPS games to racing sims.

There are also replaceable thumbstick caps, a swappable magnetic faceplate and textured grips designed for long gaming sessions.

Make It Yours

Customization doesn’t stop at the hardware. The controller supports four onboard profiles, allowing players to save different button layouts and sensitivity settings for different games.

Dead zones can be adjusted from 0% to 15%, while Synapse software allows players to remap the controller and fine-tune their setup.

In other words, Razer isn’t just giving players a controller. It’s giving them a toolkit for building the controller they want.
