The streets of Hell’s Kitchen are getting darker. In Shadowland, the latest scenario pack for Marvel Champions: The Card Game, players must infiltrate the Hand’s corrupted fortress, battle possessed heroes, survive a deadly maze, and face a demon determined to spread his influence across New York.

Scheduled for release on October 16, 2026, from Fantasy Flight Games, Shadowland delivers three substantial scenarios linked by a supernatural story inspired by Daredevil’s darker corner of the Marvel Universe. It’s a natural follow-up to Fear No Evil, trading Kingpin’s criminal empire for ninja cults, corrupted heroes, and demonic power.

Marvel Champions: Shadowland

Three Scenarios, One Dangerous Mission

Shadowland offers three scenarios that can be played individually or in sequence as a compact, three-part campaign. Rather than introducing new playable heroes, the pack focuses on fresh encounters, a large roster of enemies, and mechanics that change how players approach each battle.

Shadows in the Night

The opening scenario sends heroes on an assault against Shadowland, with battles taking place both atop the fortress’s Tenshu and in the streets below.

The catch? You’ll face one of six possible Dark Protégés: Archpriestess, possessed Daredevil, possessed Elektra, Gorgon, Lady Bullseye, or possessed White Tiger. Each brings a distinct fighting style and associated encounter cards, giving repeat plays a different feel.

Seven varieties of Ninja minions add to the chaos, working together to overwhelm the heroes. Taking down the Hand’s leadership won’t be easy when its foot soldiers are everywhere.

Shadow Labyrinth

Next, the heroes must navigate a shifting maze where the environment itself becomes the enemy.

In Shadow Labyrinth, the Shifting Corridors serve as the villain, forcing players to survive the fortress’s deadly pathways rather than simply concentrate on defeating a single opponent. The result is a change of pace that rewards careful planning and adapting to the scenario’s unusual rules.

For players who enjoy puzzle-like encounters and unconventional challenges, this could be one of the pack’s biggest highlights.

Heart of Shadow

The final scenario brings the heroes face-to-face with Krahllak, the demon behind the Hand’s corruption.

This isn’t just another boss fight. A corruption mechanic gradually threatens to consume your hero as the battle progresses. The longer the fight continues, the greater the danger that the power you’re fighting against could turn you into part of the problem.

It’s a fitting finale for a campaign built around temptation, possession, and the dangers of embracing the darkness to defeat it.

Marvel Champions: Shadowland

Familiar Faces, Twisted Allegiances

Shadowland draws heavily from Daredevil’s world, bringing recognizable characters such as Elektra, White Tiger, Gorgon, and Lady Bullseye into the conflict. The inclusion of possessed versions of familiar heroes adds another layer of tension: these aren’t simply enemies to defeat, but heroes whose identities have been overtaken by a corrupting force.

The Hand’s coordinated ninja forces also create a different kind of challenge from the criminal underworld featured in Fear No Evil. Instead of stopping organized crime, players must fight a relentless organization whose supernatural influence threatens to spread beyond its fortress.

Should You Enter Shadowland?

Shadowland contains 90 cards across three scenarios, supports one to four players, and offers an estimated playtime of 45–90 minutes. Former Marvel Champions designer Michael Boggs served as guest designer. The core game is required, and the pack does not include new playable heroes.

For fans of Daredevil, the Defenders, and Marvel’s darker street-level stories, Shadowland looks like a strong addition to the game’s growing collection of scenarios. Its randomized opening encounter, environmental maze, and corruption-focused finale give players several distinct challenges in one package.

If Fear No Evil brought the fight to the streets, Shadowland takes it underground—and into territory where even the heroes may not emerge unchanged.

Three scenarios. Six possible Dark Protégés. One demon waiting in the shadows. Hell’s Kitchen needs its heroes, but can they resist the darkness long enough to save it?
