Will Sharpe and Ayo Edebiri star as former child prodigies navigating love, ambition, and the realities of adulthood.

What happens when your childhood promises greatness, but adulthood turns out to be surprisingly ordinary? That’s the question at the heart of Prodigies, Apple TV’s upcoming romantic comedy starring Will Sharpe (The White Lotus) and Ayo Edebiri (The Bear).

Apple TV has unveiled the first look at the seven-episode series, which follows Didi (Edebiri) and Ren (Sharpe), two former child prodigies who have been together since they were nine. Now in their 30s, the couple begins questioning their relationship, their ambitions, and whether their lives measure up to the extraordinary futures everyone once expected them to have.

Spanning London, Tokyo, and Virginia, Prodigies promises an unconventional spin on the romantic comedy, mixing the familiar challenges of long-term relationships with the chaos of figuring out who you really are.

Sharpe takes on multiple roles behind the camera as the series’ creator, writer, director, and executive producer. Edebiri also serves as an executive producer, with the Emmy and BAFTA-winning SISTER Pictures producing.

The impressive ensemble cast includes John Malkovich, Tobias Menzies, Maria Bakalova, Sophia Di Martino, Rina Sawayama, and Dame Meera Syal.

When can you watch it? Prodigies premieres globally on Apple TV on February 10, 2027, with its first two episodes. New episodes will arrive weekly through the season finale on March 17.

Sometimes growing up is the hardest part of being a prodigy. Prodigies looks ready to explore what happens when the future you imagined meets the life you actually have.
