Out today, “Black Women Feel No Pain” is a cinematic R&B protest ballad that takes direct aim at the harmful “Strong Black Woman” stereotype, peeling back the layers of resilience to reveal the pain, vulnerability, and humanity too often overlooked.
Drawing from her own lived experiences, Simone explores the emotional toll of being expected to carry everyone else’s burdens while suppressing her own. The song also shines a light on the real-world medical and societal biases that continue to impact Black women, transforming deeply personal stories into a bold cultural statement.
“I was breaking, and my history of resilience… was weaponized,” Simone says. “I’m reclaiming my humanity with this track.”
Known for blending cinematic storytelling with emotionally rich R&B, the Hampton Roads, Virginia artist continues to push her artistry into fearless new territory.
“Black Women Feel No Pain” arrives as the first of several releases planned for Summer and Fall 2026, leading up to her full-length album expected in Spring 2027.
