AMC+ is set to debut its gripping new exclusive series The Assassin on Thursday, November 20, with new episodes dropping weekly. The six-part thriller comes from Emmy, Golden Globe, and Critics Choice Award-winning creators Harry and Jack Williams (Fleabag, The Missing) and stars BAFTA nominee Keeley Hawes (Bodyguard) alongside Critics Choice Award-winner Freddie Highmore (The Good Doctor).
Set against the backdrop of a stunning Greek island, The Assassin follows Julie (Hawes), a retired contract killer living in isolation to escape her violent past. Her quiet existence shatters when her estranged son Edward (Highmore) arrives seeking answers about his paternity. What begins as a tense reunion soon turns deadly when Julie’s past resurfaces, forcing the pair to flee for their lives.
Blending high-stakes action with emotional depth, The Assassin explores the limits of family, forgiveness, and survival. The series also features Gina Gershon, Jack Davenport, and Richard Dormer in a stellar supporting cast.
The Assassin premieres November 20 exclusively on AMC+.
