Arlo Parks has announced her highly anticipated new album, Ambiguous Desire, set for release on April 3rd via Transgressive Records. The critically acclaimed, Mercury Prize and BRIT Award–winning artist enters a bold new era, revealing a more experimental, dancefloor-driven sound while retaining the poetic lyricism that defines her work.

Written over the past two years, Ambiguous Desire was shaped by nocturnal freedom and community, drawing inspiration from NYC’s Paradise Garage, UK underground icons like Burial and The Streets, and the euphoric pulse of LCD Soundsystem and Theo Parrish. Swapping live band sessions for modular synths, samplers, and Ableton experimentation, Parks channels desire as both engine and mystery.

Alongside the announcement, Parks has shared the album’s first single, “2SIDED,” which premiered as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record. Built on humming synths and skittering drum machines, the track captures the tension and vulnerability of new desire, accompanied by a movement-led video directed by Molly Burdett.

Produced with Baird (Brockhampton, Kevin Abstract), Ambiguous Desire emerges as Parks’ most confident, euphoric, and self-affirming release yet, marking a striking evolution from one of the most vital voices in modern music.
