Atlanta-based artist NextYoungin has dropped their debut EP Daddy 2 Baddie today via StreamCut. The 7-track project, executive produced by frequent collaborator SpainDaGoat, features three previously released singles—“Pop Yo Shit Twin,” “OMW” ft. Kodie Shane, and “That Yeah”—and includes guest appearances by Atlanta-by-way-of-BX rapper Sy Ari Da Kid and newcomer Rot Ken. Daddy 2 Baddie is now available on all streaming platforms.
The EP reflects NextYoungin’s embrace of gender fluidity, with the title symbolizing their seamless switch between masculine and feminine identities. As a prominent figure in the LGBTQ+ community, NextYoungin uses the personas ‘Baddie Kaine’ and ‘Daddy Kaine’ to represent her feminine and masculine sides, respectively.
NextYoungin burst onto the scene in 2020 with the energetic TikTok hit “3 Musketeers” ft. ppcocaine, which has amassed over 100M streams and is RIAA Certified Gold. They made their big stage debut at Rolling Loud, followed by opening for Key Glock on the Yellow Tape tour. After signing with StreamCut, they toured with Kodie Shane following the release of “OMW.”
With the introduction of Baddie Kaine and the release of Daddy 2 Baddie, NextYoungin is poised to become a major artist to watch in 2024.
