Mundfish has officially arrived. Just over two years since its jaw-dropping debut, Atomic Heart has crossed the 10-million-player threshold across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Not bad for a first outing from a studio that, back in 2023, was still an industry wildcard.

The retro-futuristic FPS didn’t just make waves—it ignited a firestorm of conversation. According to Metacritic, it was the most talked-about PC title in the first half of 2023. With its provocative alt-history narrative, dazzling visual fidelity, and genre-blending mechanics, Atomic Heart became an overnight cult classic. It scooped up over 60 “Best of the Year” honors, bagged a Steam Award for Outstanding Visual Style, and even picked up nods from BAFTA and the Hollywood Music in Media Awards.

CEO and Game Director Robert Bagratuni summed it up best: “What started as a dream has become a reality beyond anything we imagined.” And with three robust story-driven DLCs already out—and one final drop still on the way—Atomic Heart shows no signs of fading from the collective gamer psyche.

But Mundfish isn’t done making noise.

The studio today announced Mundfish Powerhouse, a bold new initiative aimed at shaking up the development landscape. More than just a publishing label, Powerhouse is a full-stack creative engine offering deep production tools, proven pipelines, and hands-on support from concept to launch.

It’s not about chasing small wins. Bagratuni says Powerhouse is built to back “fewer, bigger, bolder” titles—games that aim to break molds, not follow them.

“Studios and investors have been knocking on our door for a while now,” Bagratuni said. “Powerhouse is our answer: a place for creators ready to take risks and leave a mark.”

If Atomic Heart was Mundfish’s opening salvo, then Powerhouse could be the big bang that brings a whole new generation of boundary-pushing developers into orbit.

Welcome to the new era—Mundfish isn’t just playing the game anymore. They’re helping reinvent it.
