War shifts to a new front as Season 2 arrives in Battlefield REDSEC and Battlefield 6, delivering a three-phase content rollout packed with new maps, limited-time modes, and tactical shakeups.

Phase 1: Extreme Measures

Season 2 opens with Contaminated, a sprawling forest battlefield ravaged by experimental weapons and relentless shelling. The headline addition is VL-7, a limited-time mode built around psychoactive smoke. These disorienting clouds trigger immersive hallucinations, forcing squads to adapt on the fly as visibility—and reality—begin to fracture mid-firefight.

Phase 2: Nightfall (March 17)

Combat descends into darkness at Hagental Base, a military facility designed for tight corridors and stealth-driven gameplay. Blacked-out interiors heighten tension while Night Vision Goggles give prepared squads the edge. Nightfall also expands into REDSEC via a dedicated Gauntlet playlist, emphasizing calculated movement and close-quarters precision.

Phase 3: Hunter & Prey (April 17)

The season culminates with Operation Augur, a cinematic, large-scale limited-time mode inspired by Battlefield 1’s Operations. Spanning both new maps, it emphasizes coordinated pushes, sustained momentum, and evolving objectives across extended campaigns.

Across all phases, players can expect new weapons, vehicles, gadgets, customization options, and a fresh Battle Pass. Season 2 doesn’t just add content—it reshapes the battlefield with chemical warfare, night operations, and high-stakes tactical escalation.

Battlefield 6 and REDSEC are available on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Steam™, EA App, Epic Games Store).
