Blizzard Entertainment has revealed an exciting first look at its esports plans for BlizzCon 2026 with the announcement of the Blizzard Classic Cup captains: longtime commentators Nick “Tasteless” Plott and Dan “Artosis” Stemkoski.

For nearly two decades, the duo—often known by fans as “Tastosis”—have been central figures in Blizzard esports, especially within the StarCraft scene. This time, however, they’re stepping away from the casting desk and into leadership roles.

At BlizzCon 2026, Tasteless and Artosis will serve as team captains in the inaugural Blizzard Classic Cup, where they’ll draft and lead all-star rosters. Their teams will compete across four iconic Blizzard titles: Heroes of the Storm, StarCraft: Remastered, StarCraft II, and Warcraft III: Reforged.

The event aims to celebrate Blizzard’s competitive legacy by bringing together legendary games and veteran personalities in a fresh, fan-focused format.

The Classic Cup is just one part of Blizzard’s broader esports lineup for BlizzCon 2026. Blizzard says more announcements—including details on the tournament format, prize pool, and additional competitions—will be revealed in the coming months.
