Apex Legends is turning seven, and Respawn is celebrating by blowing the doors off the meta. The new season, Apex Legends: Breach, launches February 10 with a heavy focus on intense close-quarters combat and game-changing Legend updates.
The headline addition is Hardlight Mesh, destructible and repairable windows now scattered across the Outlands. These glowing barriers offer visibility while blocking movement and gunfire—until someone smashes through. Teams can create surprise entry points or reinforce structures, transforming buildings into evolving battlegrounds.
Several Legends are getting serious power boosts. Fuse becomes a frontline menace, leaping past defenses and bombarding entrenched enemies with explosive, flame-charged upgrades. Bloodhound sharpens the hunt with improved scans, faster Ultimate uptime, and healing on knocks. Catalyst doubles down on control, with deadlier spikes and a reworked Dark Veil that seals chokepoints and reduces incoming bullet damage. Controller Legends can now repair or strengthen Hardlight Mesh, enabling truly fortified positions.
The Seven Legendary Years anniversary event also brings community-created rewards, permanent Legend unlocks, and SWAT Pilots-themed cosmetics.
Breach arrives on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC via EA App, Epic, and Steam.
