Pittsburgh, get ready to collect. CardVault by Tom Brady is opening its 20th retail location on November 1 at The Terminal in the city’s historic Strip District, bringing a fresh destination for sports fans, card collectors and memorabilia hunters.
The opening marks another milestone in CardVault’s nationwide expansion, following recent launches in Los Angeles and Indianapolis. And with Pittsburgh’s proud sports heritage — from the Steelers and Penguins to the Pirates and Pitt Panthers — it’s a natural fit.
“Pittsburgh is one of America’s great sports cities,” said Chris Costa, CardVault co-founder and managing partner. “We’re excited to bring CardVault to its passionate community of fans and collectors.”
Located at 1659 Smallman Street, the new store will stock everything from trading cards, sealed boxes and packs to authenticated memorabilia from brands including Topps, Panini, Upper Deck, Pokémon and Fanatics Authentic. Collectors can also submit cards for professional grading through PSA, Beckett and SGC, while the signature Vault will showcase rotating displays of signed helmets, jerseys, bats and balls.
The grand opening kicks off Sunday, November 1, at 10 a.m. ET, with plenty of reasons to show up early. The first 25 customers will score a limited-edition Pittsburgh-themed CardVault hat, guests can enter to win a signed Paul Skenes baseball, and fans waiting in line can enter for a chance to win two tickets to that Sunday’s Steelers game. The ticket winners will be announced in-store at 11 a.m.
After opening day, CardVault will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with regular trade nights, special guest appearances, exclusive product drops and community events on the calendar.
Twenty stores down, and the collection keeps growing. For Pittsburgh’s sports-obsessed fans, CardVault’s arrival could be the next big thing in the hobby.
