GRAMMY®-nominated DJ and producer Chris Lake has unveiled his long-awaited remix of The Chemical Brothers’ iconic track “Galvanize”, celebrating 20 years since its original release. Out now via Astralwerks/Positiva Records, the remix injects Lake’s trademark energy into one of electronic music’s most enduring anthems.

First released in 2005, “Galvanize” became a global hit, earning Platinum status in the US, UK, and Australia while cementing The Chemical Brothers as pioneers of the genre. Two decades later, Chris Lake—widely regarded as one of modern house music’s most influential figures—has reimagined the track for today’s dance floors without losing its original essence.

Galvanize marked a real turning point for us… It’s incredible to realize it still has such an influence today, and we absolutely love the way Chris put his own stamp on it,” The Chemical Brothers shared.

Lake’s remix leans on driving basslines, pulsating percussion, and the instantly recognizable hook, striking a balance between reverence and reinvention. “Remixing a track as iconic as ‘Galvanize’ is no small task… My goal was to honor that legacy while making it fit seamlessly into my sets,” Lake explained.

The release follows Lake’s successful debut album Chemistry, which dropped in July and landed at #13 on Billboard’s Electronic Album Chart, while also dominating Spotify and Beatport charts. Currently on his Chemistry Album Tour, Lake is set to hit major venues across the US and UK, with $1 from every ticket going to ocean conservation nonprofit Oceanic Global.

With this remix, Chris Lake bridges generations, breathing fresh life into one of electronic music’s most celebrated records. “Galvanize” (Chris Lake Remix) is out now.
