Emmy winner Dan Levy is back with a fresh dose of chaos in Big Mistakes, a darkly funny family saga wrapped inside a crime thriller. Premiering April 9 on Netflix, the series follows Nicky (Levy) and his equally unqualified sister Morgan, played by Taylor Ortega. What begins as a misguided attempt to help their dying grandmother quickly spirals into a dangerous entanglement with organized crime.

Blackmailed into taking on increasingly risky jobs, the siblings stumble from one disaster to the next, somehow failing upward while digging themselves deeper into trouble. The tone promises a blend of absurd humor and high-stakes tension, echoing Levy’s knack for balancing heart and hilarity.

The cast adds serious depth, including Laurie Metcalf, alongside rising and established talents like Abby Quinn and Boran Kuzum. Behind the scenes, Levy reunites with strong creative forces, co-creating the show with Rachel Sennott.

This marks Levy’s second major series after the success of Schitt’s Creek, and signals a bold new chapter under his production banner. Early promotional stunts, including a staged necklace heist reveal, hint at the playful tone audiences can expect.

With its dysfunctional characters and unpredictable plot, Big Mistakes looks ready to deliver a wildly entertaining ride.
