KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS and 505 Games have announced that DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR’S CUT, the definitive edition of Hideo Kojima’s genre-defying epic, is now available on Xbox Game Pass across both PC and console. The game can be accessed at no extra cost by Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Premium subscribers.
In DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR’S CUT, players step into the boots of Sam Bridges on a mission to reconnect a shattered America following the cataclysmic event known as the Death Stranding. With the boundary between life and death broken, haunting creatures roam the landscape, and it’s up to Sam to deliver hope by reconnecting isolated survivors.
This expanded edition introduces a host of new content and gameplay enhancements. Players can explore the dangerous new Ruined Factory location, experiment with additional delivery tools like cargo catapults, ramps, and a stabiliser with thrusters, and enjoy enhanced melee combat with new moves and weapons, including the Maser Gun. New facilities such as the firing range and racetrack add depth, while Buddy Bots offer new traversal options.
Featuring a star-studded cast led by Norman Reedus, DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR’S CUT has also been optimised for handheld play, making it fully playable on ASUS ROG Xbox Ally devices.
