The worlds of Diablo IV and Korn collide in a powerful new collaboration, “Reward the Scars,” released alongside the expansion Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred. The track marks Korn’s first new music in over four years and taps into the same dark, emotional intensity that defines both the band and the game.

Blending themes of pain, survival, and transformation, the song reflects what remains after battle—physically and emotionally. Known for confronting trauma through raw, confessional lyrics, Korn’s creative identity fits seamlessly within Diablo’s bleak universe. Frontman Jonathan Davis shared that his longtime connection to the game made the collaboration feel natural, drawing parallels between the band’s music and Diablo’s exploration of inner darkness.

The track debuted live during Korn’s set at Sick New World, giving fans an early taste before the official music video release. Visually, the video amplifies Diablo’s signature atmosphere—filled with dread, power, and resistance—bringing its haunting world to life.

As players dive into Lord of Hatred, they face a climactic battle against Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred. With Sanctuary on the brink, the collaboration underscores a shared message: confronting darkness always comes at a cost.
