Supermassive Games has officially announced that Directive 8020, its next sci-fi survival horror adventure, will launch on May 12, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). Pre-orders are now live on consoles, with Steam pre-orders coming soon. Fans who pre-order can secure a free Deluxe Edition upgrade (while retail stocks last) and check out the newly released “Comply” trailer.

Set in deep space, Directive 8020 promises paranoia-driven, choice-based storytelling where every decision can mean life or death. The “Comply” trailer teases a tense moment aboard the ship: medic Cooper must decide whether to open a sealed door for crewmate Mitchell—unsure if he’s still human. In another chilling sequence, two identical crew members appear, forcing players to determine who is real and who is a deadly mimic. Trust no one.

The trailer also offers a first look at planetary exploration on Tau Ceti f and features Lashana Lynch as pilot Brianna Young, alongside the track “Comply” by Blood Red Shoes.

Pre-orders include bonus content such as outfit and collectible packs, a cinematic filter, digital soundtrack, and art book. The game supports single-player and couch co-op at launch, with online multiplayer arriving post-release.
