As families across the nation face mounting financial challenges, Eckerd Connects is stepping up by expanding its Success Awards program to provide greater access to food assistance.
For nearly six decades, Eckerd Connects has served as a lifeline for children, youth, adults, and families through education, workforce development, and community-based services. Now, the organization is extending that legacy—offering immediate relief to those impacted by food insecurity and economic instability.
Funded entirely by private donations, Success Awards help individuals overcome barriers such as food insecurity, transportation challenges, and housing instability—critical issues that often stand in the way of sustainable employment and self-sufficiency. Recipients can receive up to $5,000 for essential needs, vocational training, or education.
“Our mission has always been about hope and opportunity,” said Michael D. Smith, President and CEO of Eckerd Connects. “In times like these, our role is to ensure no family faces hardship alone.”
Operating in 20 states and the District of Columbia, Eckerd Connects continues to empower communities through job training, foster care, juvenile justice, and early childhood education—helping families build brighter, more stable futures.
Those who wish to support families in need can donate directly to Eckerd Connects’ Success Awards program at Eckerd.org/Success-Awards. Every contribution helps provide essentials like groceries, transportation, and emergency assistance to help families find stability and hope.
