Grab your passport: Emily in Paris returns to Netflix on Dec. 18, and Season 5 is taking Emily Cooper far beyond the City of Lights. “This season is a tale of two cities: Rome and Paris,” creator Darren Star reveals. The new teaser showcases Emily balancing love, life, and career across both iconic capitals—and even gliding through Venice for a dose of la dolce vita.
After Season 4 sent her to Rome to help expand Agence Grateau, Emily is fully embracing her Italian chapter. Joining her Roman holiday are Bryan Greenberg as Jake, Michèle Laroque as Yvette, and Minnie Driver as Princess Jane, adding fresh faces—and plenty of drama—to the mix.
Romantically, Emily’s spark with Marcello heats up. Lily Collins teases that Marcello arrives “at the perfect time,” offering Emily a chance to seek real balance and happiness beyond vacation mode. But Gabriel’s change of heart complicates everything. After realizing he wants Emily once and for all, he’s ready to fight for her—though he may be too late.
