Get ready for the next chapter in the Famicom Detective Club series! Dive into a dark, twisted thriller with Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club, coming to Nintendo Switch on August 29.
In this game, a student is found dead with a paper bag over his head, marked with a creepy smiling face. This image is eerily similar to clues from a series of unsolved murders 18 years ago and to Emio (the Smiling Man), a legendary killer who supposedly gives his victims “a smile that will last forever.”
You’ll step into the shoes of an assistant private investigator at the Utsugi Detective Agency, helping the police crack this case. As you gather clues and testimonies, you’ll try to link them to the grisly events of the past.
Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club is the first new story in the series in 35 years. It follows the recent remakes of the original installments: Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir and Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind, both for the Nintendo Switch. For more insights on this new game, check out details from series producer Yoshio Sakamoto, who has been involved in everything from the plot to the script and cutscenes.
