Supporting the Community
Taste of Lincoln Avenue isn’t just about food and fun; it’s also the Wrightwood Neighbors Association’s annual fundraiser. Since 1984, the festival has supported local schools and organizations through grants funded by gate donations. These donations directly benefit neighborhood Chicago Public Schools, city parks like Jonquil and Supera Playlot, after-school programs, food pantries, and even the Chicago Fire Department on Halstead near Diversey.
About Wrightwood Neighbors Association
The Wrightwood Neighbors Association (WNA) is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to enhancing the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. Since 1962, WNA has worked tirelessly to address issues like crime prevention, gang activity, planning, and community development. The association’s chartered area spans from Diversey Parkway to Fullerton Avenue and Halsted Street to Lakewood Avenue.
Get Involved
If you live in the neighborhood and want to be an active member, join WNA for monthly community meetings, CAPS meetings, holiday and family events, networking nights, and more. The funds raised from Taste of Lincoln Avenue go directly to grants for local charities, public schools, and neighborhood improvements. Over the past 35 years, WNA has raised over $2.5 million!
