Cheap Trick have unveiled the official music video for “The Best Thing,” pulling back the curtain with electrifying live footage captured during their farewell performance at Tokyo’s legendary Nippon Budokan last October. The video celebrates not only a standout track from their 2025 album All Washed Up, but also the band’s enduring connection with Japanese fans—a relationship that dates back to their breakthrough shows at the same venue in 1978.
Alongside the video, a newly released short film documents the band’s emotional return to Budokan, highlighting the timeless bond between artist and audience. As the band puts it: “Keep your eyes open… you never know where the best thing in your life is gonna happen.”
Currently on the road for The All Washed Up Tour, Cheap Trick continue to prove their reputation as one of rock’s hardest-working acts. The tour runs through late April, with highlights including a two-night stand in Las Vegas. Beyond that, the band will share stages with Styx, appear at major festivals, and join ZZ Top for a special Hollywood Bowl performance.
All Washed Up, their 21st studio album, is out now via BMG.
