Without missing a beat, Girl Tones kick off the year with their first single of 2026, “Volcano.” Headstrong and unyielding, yet forged under pressure, the sister duo makes their intentions clear. This is about commitment, momentum, and forward motion.
Singer Kenzie describes the track as a reflection on disorder and resilience. “Volcano is about how helpless it feels when chaos strikes,” she says. “One thing I’ve learned is to flip chaos on its head and make something new out of it. Pressure isn’t always a bad thing.” That tension and release powers the song, turning uncertainty into fuel.
Adding to the momentum, Girl Tones were announced as part of Amazon Music’s Artists to Watch for 2026, joining peers like Fcukers, Florence Road, Folk Bitch Trio, and NewDad. Past alumni include Alex Warren, Addison Rae, Leon Thomas, and Mk.gee.
They’re also hitting the road fast, joining Dexter and The Moonrocks on a West Coast tour later this month, followed by dates with Peter McPoland in March. This year also brings SXSW, The Great Escape, and festival stops at Bonnaroo, Bottlerock, Treefort, and Outside Days.
