Goose is officially stepping into the future.
The genre-defying quartet has released BIG MODERN!, their sixth studio album and third full-length record in just over a year, available now via No Coincidence Records. Unlike its predecessors, which drew from different chapters of the band’s history, BIG MODERN! is firmly rooted in the present—a snapshot of a band embracing newfound creative freedom and pushing its sound into uncharted territory.
Across 15 tracks, Goose seamlessly blends heartland rock ballads, orchestral jazz flourishes, shimmering synth-rock, soaring pop hooks, and the improvisational energy that has become their trademark. The result is an album that feels expansive, adventurous, and unmistakably forward-looking.
“Initially, there was no idea of writing an album around BIG MODERN! with a thematic throughline,” says frontman Rick Mitarotonda. But as ideas evolved from the sessions that produced 2025’s Everything Must Go, a bigger concept emerged organically. “We just kept following the thread.”
That thread runs straight through the album’s standout new single, “Good Times // End Times,” an upbeat anthem for an apocalypse that never quite arrives. Balancing joy, uncertainty, beauty, and dread, the track captures the duality at the heart of BIG MODERN!—a record that reflects the exhilarating and often overwhelming experience of modern life.
Fresh off a sold-out run across Europe and the U.K., Goose will bring the world of BIG MODERN! to fans throughout North America on an ambitious summer and fall tour, including multi-night stands at Madison Square Garden, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, SPAC, and more.
