Ice Spice is stepping into a bold new era with the release of her latest single, “Thootie,” featuring Dominican powerhouse Tokischa. Out now via 10K Projects/Capitol Records, the RiotUSA-produced track marks a milestone moment for the Bronx star: it’s the first time she raps in Spanish on a record. Seamlessly blending English and Spanish, Ice taps into her Dominican heritage with confidence, flair, and unmistakable swagger.

The Richard Cordones–directed music video, creatively guided by Tokischa, was filmed in the Dominican Republic and bursts with the island’s vibrant colors, energy, and street culture. For Ice, the experience was personal: “People are actually hearing me speak or rap in Spanish for the first time… it was fun to show another side of who I am. Shooting in the DR felt like home.”

Tokischa echoed the excitement, praising both the chemistry and the beat’s authentic dembow roots: “I loved working with Ice… her coming to the DR after so long was very special to honor and respect the ‘bajo mundo culture.’”

“Thootie” arrives on the heels of Ice’s original track “Big Guy” for the upcoming SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, where she’ll also make her first voice cameo. The release further fuels momentum from her acclaimed debut album Y2K! and recent singles, proving Ice Spice continues to evolve while staying true to her roots.
